Lucha Underground News: Two huge names confirmed to return in season four

What's the story?

Despite the company's status being in major doubt following the ending of the third season, current champion Penta el 0M and his brother Rey Fenix have both confirmed their returns to Lucha Underground next year for the fourth season.

In case you didn't know...

Both Penta and Fenix's futures were in major doubts after the two brothers had a fallout with Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA and one of the co-owners of Lucha Underground.

Following the fallout between the two parties, both Penta and Fenix decided to wrestle for rival promotion The Crash Luchas after just two days.

The heart of the matter

It has been confirmed that the Lucha Brothers will indeed be making their return to Lucha Underground next year. Pro Wrestling Revolution owner Gabriel Ramirez stated that both Penta and Fenix are committed to Lucha Underground. The duo will not be available to make an appearance for Ramirez's PWR promotion on February 24th, 2018.

Penta, who won the Lucha Underground Championship on the season three finale, will also have a huge target on his shoulders as the rest of the LU roster will look to dethrone him from the champion's position. As for Fenix, the former Lucha Underground Champion, recently culminated his feud against Marty 'The Moth' Martinez during season three of Lucha Underground.

What's next?

Following the departure of Ricochet, it seems like Penta el 0M will get into a brand new rivalry in season four and will look forward to defending his LU Championship against the likes of Johnny Mundo as well as other top superstars in the roster. Rey Fenix, on the other hand, will also look to begin some fresh new rivalries in 2018.

Penta el 0M is by far one of the top stars in the current Lucha Underground roster and his addition to the show is certainly going to be a huge boost for everyone associated to the Mexican promotion.
