#9. Tetsuya Naito vs Kota Ibushi- (IWGP Intercontinental Championship)

Following up on an outstanding match at the New Japan Cup, Kota Ibushi and Tetsuya Naito were determined to put on a show tonight at MSG and that's exactly what the two men did. With the prestigious IWGP IC Title on the line, Naito and Ibushi were greeted to a "holy sh*t" chant by the crowd, as exchanged a lot of moves to get us off going.

Naito dominated in the early stages, as he hit a Combinacíon Cabron. The champion then teased hitting a tombstone on the apron, however, Ibushi pulled off a stunning counter and hit a Frankensteiner to Naito off the apron, as the crowd started chanting "mama mia".

The crowd soon broke into a "This is awesome" chant, as Naito hit a tornado dot reversal on Ibushi. 'The Golden Star' then followed it up with a deadlift German suplex off the middle rope but Naito kicked out of it, much to everyone's shock.

Naito then got back into the match after hitting a Piledriver only for a close two-fall. Both men started to exchange elbows on their feet until Naito spit in Ibushi’s face, as the latter connected with a hard chop on the champion. Naito connected with a Destino only for a very, very close fall, with the crowd going bonkers.

Ibushi reversed Naito’s second Destino and tore a page out of Nakamura's book, hitting two BomaYe knees for another close fall. The crowd was absolutely lit up by this point, as Ibushi took advantage of the situation and hit a Kamagoye to shockingly win the Intercontinental Championship.

Result: Kota Ibushi defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the Intercontinental Championship

#10. Jay Lethal vs Matt Taven vs Marty Scurll- (ROH World Championship Ladder Match)

NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Nick Aldis joined the commentary desk, as all three superstars made their way out to the ring. Marty Scurll, as expected, received the biggest pop, whereas, Matt Taven had an immense amount of heat on him.

The match started out with a wild brawl as the action was taken to the outside. Taven executed a huge plancha to the floor while the challengers were holding the ladder. Scurll then managed to hang Lethal in a Tree of Woe and put his head through two of the rungs and brutally started hitting the ladder with a chair in what was a wicked spot to watch. Taven quickly joined in on the action, as he connected with a kick and Scurll's head bounced off the mat.

The action was taken to the outside once again with Taven powerbombing Lethal, as the champion was taken out of the action for a while. Back in the ring, Scurll almost locked a chicken wing onto Taven and got the crowd pumped up once again, however, Taven countered and connected with a kick on 'The Villain'.

Scull then pulled off a massive superplex spot on Taven from the top off a ladder into the ring. The champ got back into the mix and tried to hit a Lethal Injection but was eventually caught in the chicken wing by Scurll but it didn’t last for long. Lethal then quickly took out Taven but was caught in another Chicken Wing by Scurll, this time on top of the ladder. The champion, however, got out of the lock and fell straight down to the mat, as Taven climbed up the ladders only to get his fingers snapped by Scurll in what was one of the best spots of the night.

Shortly afterward, a small botch involving a massive ladder fall on a fan on the first row also took place but the fan seemed to be fine. Taven then speared Scurll off the apron but Scurll was quickly back into the action as he and Lethal fought on top of a ladder. Taven in the meantime pulled off a customized purple Kingdom ladder of his own as The Kingdom leader set it in the middle of the ring.

Scurll was taken out of the context and it came down to Lethal and Taven who went back-and-forth on top of the ladder. Lethal, however, was eventually knocked from the top of the ladder and he fell down to the face first to the middle ring. Taven was left all alone in the top of the ladder, as he unhooked the ROH World Championship and became the brand new champion.

An absolutely crazy match filled with brutality and action all over the place.

Result: Matt Taven defeated Marty Scurll and Jay Lethal to win the ROH World Championship.
