What's the story?

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Raw superstar Nia Jax revealed that she would like to face off against former WWF Women's Champion Bull Nakano at the upcoming 25th Anniversary episode.

In case you didn't know...

Bull Nakano is a Japanese wrestling legend who began her career competing in All Japan Women's Wrestling. During her time with AJW, Nakano held the AJW Championship, the AJW Junior Championship, and the All-Pacific Championship as well. The 50-year-old is also a former CMLL World Women's Champion, as well as a former one-time WWF Women's Champion. Nakano wrestled her last match back in 2012 in a co-produced show titled "Empress".

The heart of the matter

During her interview with Sky Sports, Jax stated that she would love to share the ring with WWE Slammy Award winner and former Women's Champion Bull Nakano, as she said that would be an exciting experience for her to step into the squared circle with the former Japanese legend.

Nia also regarded Bull Nakano as a badass woman and claimed that her matches were revolutionary back in the day. The 33-year-old also said that women like Bull Nakano paved the way for female stars of today's generation and additionally, Jax also admitted that she has learned a lot by watching Nakano's matches.

"If it wasn't for those women putting in the work and the time, and showing people what they can do then I don't think we would have had the opportunities to show what we can do now. They went insane. If you go back and watch that stuff, it's so cool. I always study and watch them, it was super cool."- Nia Jax stated.

What's next?

Raw's 25th Anniversary episode takes place on the 22nd of January, and the likes of Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin and much more have all been booked for the special episode.
