#10 Ubaldo Fillol

Ubaldo is easily ranked among the greatest Argentinian goalkeepers. He was part of the 1978 World Cup winning squad, in which he was also voted the best goalkeeper. Besides that, he is also known for his successes with the Racing Club from mid 1970s to early 1980s.

#9 Hernan Crespo

Crespo is the second highest goal scorer for Argentina (35 in 64 matches). His international achivements includes three Italian Serie A titles with Internazionale, a Copa Libertadores title with Los Millonarios, Silver Medal at the 1996 Olympic Games and in 1999 he won the Copa Italy, Italian Super Cup and UEFA Cup with Italian Club Parma. He is also widely regarded for having never received a red card in his career.

Although Labruna could not play in the World Cups due to political reasons, he is most notably remembered for his enormous success at the domestic level with the River Plate Club. With River, he won the domestic championship an astoninshing nine times in 1941, '42, '45, '47, '52, '53, '55, '56, '57.

#7 Amadeo Raul Carrizo

One of the greatest Goalkeepers of all time known for his innovative and strategic goalkeeping technique. Similiar to Labruna and several other players of his generation, Carrizo couldn't compete in World Cups due to political reasons, but he showed his prowess in domestic tournaments. With River Plate Club, he won league titles a staggering 7 times in 1945, '47, '52, '53, '55, '56 and '57.

#6 Mario Kempes

For Valencia CF, Kempes clinched the Pichichi Trophy for the highest goal scorer in La Liga twice. More importantly, he was also instrumental in Argentina's clinching the World Cup title for the first time in 1978. At this tournament, with 6 goals, he also earned the World Cup Golden Boot.

#5 Gabriel Batistuta

Batistuta is one of the most successful Argentinian footballers ever, who is widely recognised as one of the best complete strikers of his time. He holds the record for scoring most goals in international matches for the nation with 56 in 78 matches. He also found success in Italian Serie A League, where he reamins the eleventh highest goal scorer of all time with 184 goals in 314 matches. In 2000, with Italian club Roma, he succeeded in winning the Italia Serie A title.
