In December 2015, former Indian fast bowler Manoj Prabhakar signed up as the bowling coach of the Afghanistan national team. Although the minnows have been taking giant leaps in the cricketing sphere of late, things have only got better ever since Prabhakar came in.
The former paceman has joined forces with Pakistani great Inzamam-ul-Haq, who is Afghanistan’s head coach, and is taking the team to greater heights. Inzamam recently went a step ahead in recognizing Manoj Prabhakar’s efforts by giving him credit for the team’s rich vein of form at present.
His current profile comes as a welcome change for Prabhakar, who had been sacked as Delhi’s coach a few years back in 2011.
