#1 Gedion Zelalem

The outrageously talented teenage midfielder leads the list of the best Arsenal academy players. Zelalem, 17, was signed up by the Gunners as a 16-year-old and is so impressive that he is already being touted as the next Cesc Fabregas. The German-American wonderkid, who made his debut for the first team against Coventry County in the FA Cup, is blessed with blistering pace and superb technical ability. The only thing Zelalem needs to do is bulk up and when he does he could become a great midfield enforcer. Remember the name Gedion Zelalem.

#2 Chuba Akpom

Next up on this list is talented English youngster Chuba Akpom. The 18-year-old striker is blessed with blistering pace which leaves opposing defenders stunned and has clinical finishing abilities. Akpom, who has represented England at youth levels, scored 10 goals for Arsenals Under-21s last season and also went on short loan spells to Brentford and Coventry County where he impressed while going forward. Arsenal could use some new faces up front which gives Akpom a golden opportunity to become a regular in the future.

#3 Benik Afobe

Another young striker worthy of a place in the best Arsenal academy players list is Benik Afobe. The 21-year-old has been with the Gunners since the age of 12 and was so impressive that he attracted the attention of Barcelona. The striker has been loaned out to various clubs since 2010 but that shouldnt deter his chances of playing first team football for Arsenal. Joel Campbell and Tottenhams Andros Townsend also had to wait for awhile before they got their big break.

#4 Hector Bellerin

In 2011, Arsene Wenger was allowed to choose two youngsters from Barcelonas famed La Masia academy as part of the deal that saw Cesc Fabregas go in the opposite direction. One of the players chosen was defender Hector Bellerin. The youngster was originally a winger but has been converted into a full back who makes use of his speed to bomb forward. Bellerin made his first team debut for Arsenal against West Brom in 2011 where he provided an assist and gained rave reviews for his defending. With Mathieu Debuchy pushing 30 and Carl Jenkinson likely to move elsewhere in the future Bellerin could find himself playing as a right-back sooner rather than later.

#5 Jack Jebb

The young midfielder possesses so much talent that he has been hailed as the next Jack Wilshere on Arsenals official website. Jebb is a creative midfielder who is capable of pulling the strings at the centre of the park. Jack, who has represented his country at youth levels, hasnt made his first team debut as yet but if he continues his fantastic progress it will only be a matter of time before he does. The only blot on his impressive profile is a four match for racially abusing a fellow player. Jebb needs to stay out of such controversies and concentrate on his football.
