Nike apparel has graced the FIFA World Cup for a long time, with many top class footballers donning jerseys and boots with Nikes iconic swoosh logo on them. Over the years the American sports company has released some truly brilliant ads before the World Cup, featuring some of the greatest footballers of the generation. #1 Nike - Write The Future Commercial
Nike produced one of their best commercials ever in the form of this 2010 World Cup commercial. The ad which features players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba and Franck Ribery encourages footballers to give it their everything when they play the game and write their own future.
#2 Nike - Risk Everything Commercial
Its pretty difficult to make a World Cup commercial as good as the 2010 one but Nike got it right on the money with their recent World Cup commercial. The ad which features every top class footballer possible like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic encourages other footballers to risk everything when theyre on the field and play like theirs no tomorrow.
#3 Nike 2006 World Cup Commercial
This utterly hilarious commercial featuring the players of Brazil and Portugal was released before the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Portugal’s Luis FIgo taunts Brazil’s Ronaldo with his football skills which sparks off an impromptu match between the two sides much to the chagrin of Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari and Eric Cantona who gets caught in the cross fire. The referee interrupts the session and makes the players line up much to their disappointment. Look out for an appearance by a very young Cristiano Ronaldo in this awesome video.
#4 Nike Airport Football Commercial
This fabulous commercial was released before the 1998 World Cup and featured the entire Brazilian team including now iconic players like Ronaldo, RIvaldo and Roberto Carlos. In the commercial the Brazilian team are at the airport waiting for the plane that will take them to France for the World Cup but cannot wait to start playing football and start a game right in the middle of the airport. Look out for the brilliant skills featured in the video.
#5 Nike 2002 World Cup Commercial

This wonderful 2002 commercial features King Eric Cantona and a few other iconic players like Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Thierry Henry, Roberto Carlos and Edgar Davids. In the commercial King Eric is a ring master that keeps footballers in a cage and makes them play against each other to brilliant results. If the skills in the video dont appeal to you then King Eric surely will.
