The much-anticipated clash of the Asia Cup was eventually won by India who beat Pakistan by 5 wicketsThe India versus Pakistan match was one of the most anticipated clashes of this year's Asia Cup. True to the expectations, the match produced high drama and a series of twists and turns to keep spectators glued to the game.Even though it was a low-scoring affair, the match was not low on entertainment and lived up to the tag of being a high-octane clash. It was a severely fought match and in the end, Virat Kohli did just enough to steer India to victory. Here are 5 dramatic moments from yesterday's T20I between India and Pakistan.

#1 When Khurram Manzoor was given not out

Ashish Nehra started well and had got into a rhythm which is why Khurram Manzoor felt the need to do something to unsettle him. In the 5th over of the Pakistani innings, Manzoor went down on his knees and tried an ambitious scoop shot on the leg side.

But in an almost Misbah-esque moment, he ended up nicking the ball and the Indians started celebrating. Most of the Indian fielders had gone up in unison and Nehra and Dhoni gasped in disbelief as the umpire stayed unmoved.

The moment led to high drama as Virat Kohli was caught on camera swearing at the umpire in frustration. A visibly unhappy Kohli even had a word with the umpire at the end of the over.

In the very next over, there was a horrible mix-up between the Pakistani batsmen and Khurram Manzoor, who was at the non-striker's end, lost his bat while trying to make his way back into the crease.

A pumped up Kohli was on the ball like a hawk and hit the bull's eye with his throw to send Manzoor back to the pavilion.

#2 Afridi\'s moment of reckless running

Pakistan were already tottering at 35 for 5 when Afridi came in to bat. Yuvraj Singh having been called in to bowl ahead of the likes of Ashwin and Jadeja, fully justified the faith shown in him by trapping Umar Akmal leg-before-wicket.

Needless to say, all Pakistani hopes were pinned on Shahid Afridi. Only a counterattacking innings from Afridi could have pushed India on the backfoot at the stage. Instead, a moment of recklessness brought about his downfall.

Having flicked Yuvraj Singh to square leg off the sixth ball, Afridi decided to take on Jadeja's arm to steal a second run. Jadeja, however, sent in a bullet throw and Dhoni took off the bails in a flash. Against Jadeja's arm, the veteran Afridi never had a chance.

It was a very unfortunate way for Afridi to depart. More importantly, a Pakistani fight-back became almost impossible after that point.

#3 Mohammad Amir bowled a magical first over

Amir bowled a superlative spell for Pakistan

Ever since Mohammad Amir's return, debates and controversies have never left him alone. A lot of senior cricketers have vociferously argued that Amir has tainted cricket forever and should not be welcomed back into the team.

Amir who had so far kept quiet, yesterday let the ball do the talking.

Pakistan must have gone back at the interval thinking that they had no hopes until Mohammad Amir made them dream again.

Bowling with pace and lethal swing, Amir showed yesterday why he was once considered one of the best emerging bowlers in the world.

The very first ball of his first over swung back in to hit Rohit Sharma on his pads. Though the appeal was turned down by the umpire, he produced an identical delivery the next ball to dismiss Sharma.

A couple of deliveries later, a similar in-swinging delivery trapped Rahane plumb in front of the stumps.

Amir's first over was the finest display of seam bowling and he made Pakistan dream again. At one stage, when he later dismissed Raina, he had surreal bowling figures of 3 for 3.

Amir produced such an unplayable burst of fast bowling that even Kohli admired him during his spell. Kohli was also seen patting Amir on the back, congratulating him after the match.

For a brief while, Amir threatened to run away with the match until Virat Kohli soothed the Indian nerves.

#4 Kohli milking Wahab Riaz

Indians were in a tough position at 35 for 3 off 8 overs. Kohli and Yuvraj Singh had started the re-building job but were finding it tough against the Pakistani seamers.

Mohammad Irfan had bowled a good over and was constantly beating Yuvraj Singh's bat.

When Wahab Riaz came in to bowl the 9th over, the spectators waited with bated breath. The Kohli-Riaz clash was much anticipated from the very beginning and Pakistan had held Riaz back till then.

But having got his eye in, Kohli decided to go after Riaz from the word go.

Riaz gave him width outside the off-stump and Kohli played a copybook cover drive for four. On the very next ball, he flicked him on the leg-side for a couple and he produced a similar drive of the third ball for another boundary.

Yuvraj then flicked him for another boundary off the fifth ball and Riaz ended up conceding 15 runs in the over.

This was perhaps the most important over in the Indian innings as the shackles were broken. Kohli had soaked in all the pressure, but that Riaz over freed him and after that, he was virtually unstoppable.

#5 When Umar Akmal hit the umpire

Apart from scoring a duck, Akmal was guilty of accidentally hitting the umpire too

Virat Kohli and Mohammad Amir were in the middle of most of the action that unfolded during the match yesterday. A strange incident occurred during Amir's third over that provided some comic relief during a tense match.

Amir was in the middle of a dream spell and the Indian batsmen were finding it tough to negotiate his swing. In the 5th over of the Indian innings, Kohli had jabbed down a delivery towards point.

Umar Akmal who fielded the ball must have felt that Yuvraj was out of his crease and took a shy at the stumps.

The ball, however, missed the stumps and caught the umpire on his groin. Akmal looked embarrassed and the Pakistani players anxiously went to the umpire to enquire about his well-being.

Dean Jones, who was commentating at that time guffawed, "Why would you want to do that to someone who has given you two lbws?"

The umpire, however, was in no mood for fun and looked to be in a lot of distress. The play was held up for some time. The video later went viral on the internet.
