5 weird and unusual catches to dismiss a batsman

Cricket is not only about talent, you need luck in cricket too. In the recent 1st Test between India and England, Stokes catch to dismiss Pujara in the 2ndinnings needed luck. Here, we see thebest of such catches which were funny and unusual too.

#1 Mark Taylor

This has to be one of the funniest catch ever in cricket history. Carl Hooper edged Micahel Bevan’s delivery, which first hit the wicket-keeper on his gloves and then it went to first slip. Taylor after almost three attempts with the use of his leg, thigh and hands caught the ball.

#2 Geraint Jones

Shaun Udal was playing his first Test and he was going to bowl his first ball to Salman Butt. Butt went for a huge slog only to edge it to Strauss at first slip who was late to react. The ball hit him on his head and looped up in the air and Jones then took a diving catch.

#3 Tillakaratne Dilshan

Mark Boucher would have considered him very unlucky indeed. He went for a slog sweep off the bowling of Muttiah Muralitharan which he connected well. But the ball got stuck in the armpits of Dilshan who was standing at short leg.
