#10 White Hart Lane Tottenham Hotspur

With a capacity of 36,240, White Hart Lane is the tenth largest stadium in the Premier League.

A historical ground, it was set up in 1899. Unsurprisingly so, a lightning atmosphere camouflages the lack of modern facilities in the stadium.

Yet, relocation to a new stadium with a capacity of over 55,000 is being planned under the name of the Northumberland Development Project.

#9 Goodison Park - Everton

Nicknamed as ‘The Grand Old Lady’, Goodison Park was established in 1895.

Home to Everton F.C., its lush green outfield stands out. The away teams always find Goodison Park a daunting ground to go to.

Since it lags in facilities, Everton has been intent on moving to a new stadium, but the funds generated haven’t been enough. Nonetheless, Goodison Park is a large stadium with a capacity of 40,157.

#8 Stamford Bridge Chelsea

Home to the Blues, Stamford Bridge was set up way back in 1876. Chelsea’s ability to spend big money, however, has meant that the stadium possesses state-of-the-art facilities.

#5 City of Manchester Stadium - Manchester CIty

Etihad Stadium, also known as the City of Manchester Stadium is one of the newest football stadiums in England. Established in 2003, the stadium is home to Manchester City F.C. The highlight of this stadium is its splendid architecture, coupled with the sumptuous feel it gives the audience.

Currently, the stadium can accommodate 47,805 football fans. The stadium is however going through a redevelopment program which aims at increasing the seating capacity of the stadium to about 61,000.

#4 Stadium of Light Sunderland

Established in 1997, Stadium of Light acts as the home ground for Sunderland A.F.C. Despite being home to a relatively weak team in the Premier League, Stadium of Light is one of the most pleasant venues, furnished with the best of facilities.

Initially accommodating 42,000 spectators, the current seating capacity stands at 49,000. It is, however, expected that the capacity could be expanded up to 65,000 by means of renovations.

#3 St. James Park - Newcastle

Newcastle United's home, St. James Park was set up in 1880.

Generally called ‘The Theatre of Dreams’, Old Trafford is the most iconic footballing venue in the Premier League. Home to the Red Devils, the stadium is over 100 years old and boasts of a capacity of 75,957.

There are plans to increase the capacity to about 90,000 – equaling Wembley, the largest football stadium in England. The aura in the stadium is genuinely stunning, and one, which should definitely inspire Manchester United to bounce back next season.
