7 things you didn't know about David Beckham

Well, I know David Beckham’s birthday was yesterday and accordingly this article should have been up yesterday, and I am extremely sorry for that. But, a part of the blame has to be shared by the man himself, Mr. David Robert Joseph Beckham i.e. and before you wonder, why is that; it’s because there’s so much to be shared about him, and to shortlist the best of them to cut it down to 7, well it as a herculean effort in itself. So, without any further ado, I present to you 7 things that you didn’t know about “The Poster Boy” of football.

#7 OCD is the reason why he has 3 refrigerators at home for food; salads and drinks respectively

David Beckham suffers from a mild form of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), wherein everything needs to be strictly organise and possibly in pairs. An example of his obsession is the three refrigerators that he has in his home. One of them is for food, the second one for salads and the third one for drinks.

Not only that, Beckham has also claimed that OCD is the reason that he keeps getting tattooed, as he is addicted to the pain which is incurred by the needle.

He was continuously troubled by his England team-mates who would scatter his footballing kit along with other stuff around the locker room.

In addition to OCD, David also suffers from Ataxophobia and Ornithophobia. Ataxophobia is the fear of chaos, while Ornitophobia is the fear of birds.

Beckham had revealed in an interview that his three sons are taking different martial arts courses in order to protect their young sister Harper Seven in some years’ time.

“Cruz does taekwondo, Brooklyn does boxing and Romeo does karate, so they’ll all be ready,” he had said.

While, Cruz, the name of his third son, means the cross-bearer or cross in Spanish.

#5 He has a tattoo of Victoria lying on her back baring her breasts with her knees raised up seductively

Beckham as we already know is addicted to the pain of the needle required for tattooing, and as such is in a habit of getting tattoos and has more than 20 of them.

These tattoos include one of his wife Victoria’s name written in Hindi, the names of his three sons and one of his daughter Harper Seven, which is tattooed on his neck, while another tattoo is a Bible verse which is written in Hebrew.

“Most of my tattoos are memories and things that mean things to me”, he had said about tattoos.

But the most peculiar of all his tattoos is one that he has on his left arm. It is a tattoo of his wife Victoria lying on her back surrounded by stars while baring her breasts with her knees raised up seductively.

#4 There was a wax-statue of David, Victoria and Romeo portraying them as the \"Holy Couple\"

In 2004, the Madame Tussaud’s museum in London had revealed a waxwork portraying David and Posh as the holy couple of Joseph and Virgin Mary, while Romeo, his second son was depicted as Jesus.

The Wax statues had to be dismantled after widespread complains were registered from different Christian groups, citing it as blasphemous.
