7 things you should know about Manchester United debutant James Wilson

The night which saw one of the club's biggest icons, Nemanja Vidic play his last match at Old Trafford, 18-year-old James Wilson made his debut for the Manchester United first team against Hull City, and for many of the fans out there, they had just one question in mind: Who is this young striker?So, in this slideshow we take a look at that as we talk about 7 things about him that you might not know.

#1 James Wilson has joined the league of Sir Bobby Charlton, Shay Brennan and Paul Scholes

The England U-19 International has joined an exclusive league of Manchester United youth players Bobby Charlton, Shay Brennan and Paul Scholes to have scored a brace on their debut.

He is also the first player in the Red Devil shirt to have scored more than once on his debut since Wayne Rooney who had scored a hat-trick against Fenerbahce in 2004.

#2 Wilson now shares a record with former Manchester United Ruud van Nistelrooy

James Wilson and Ruud van Nistelrooy are now the only two players to have scored a brace on their English Premier League debut for Manchester United.

#3 He will score everywhere

It seems like when Manchester United were looking for a striker, they were all looking in the wrong places. James Wilson has scored for Manchester United's U-18, U-19, U-21 and the first team this season.

Wilson has been involved for all the age-groups this seasons as he continues to impress the coaches. He has been captaining the Under-18s squad.

#4 A little information can come handy

Born 01 Dec 1995, James Wilson was brought up in Biddulph, a town in Staffordshire, England, about 7 miles north of Stoke-on-Trent and south east of Congleton, Cheshire. He is a striker by position, and joined Manchester United on 01 Jul 2012.

It was on his 17th birthday in December 2012, when he signed a professional contract with the Red Devils.

#5 James Wilson becomes the 4th youngest goalscorer for Manchester United

With his brace, he is now Manchester United's fourth youngest goalscorer, a record bettered only by Federico Macheda, Danny Welbeck and Rafael. He is also the club's youngest goalscorer to have scored twice on his debut.

#6 He has an eye for goals

If it is not clear enough by now, James Wilson has been scoring top class goals displaying his composure and a real poacher's eye. He has started only 10 matches for the U-18 team, but is only behind three players in the goal charts.

#7 Drawing competition with the boss
