With Louis Van Gaal preferring the 4-4-2 (diamond) formation lately, after having tried the 3-5-2, we will help you choose the best player for each of those positions from the Manchester United squad purely based on their ratings in the game.
#1 David De Gea (GK)
The Manchester United shot stopper has made the place his own after Edwin Van Der Sar. Aged at just 24, hes already rated among the worlds best keepers. Hes young, athletic and most importantly, calm. He has shown great maturity in recent permormances for the club. Rated 83 in FIFA 15, there is absolutely no way this man can be out of Man Us starting eleven, if fully fit.
#2 Rafael (RB)
Rafael is the undisputed choice for the right-back position. He loves to go forward, is fast anda pretty good defender as well. Rated 77 in FIFA 15, he is the only real right-back available in the manchester united squad. Hes sure to grow into a better player with time.
#3 Phil Jones (CB)
Phil Jones is arguablythe best defender in the current Manchester United squad. After Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand left, Jones has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and is quite possibly the first choice center-back. Rated 79 in FIFA 15, he definitely makes it to our Manchester United team for the game.
#4 Jonny Evans (CB)
Jonny Evans has been unconvincing so far this season. But he edges out new signing Marcos Rojo (both rated 79) with better defending. Also, Evans is more experienced now and can be trusted. Hes the one we choose to pair with Jones in central defence for Manchester Uniteds FIFA 15 team.
#5 Luke Shaw (LB)
Luke Shaw was Manchester Uniteds first summer signing this season. The big-money move from Southampton saw him become the highest paid teenage footballer in the world. Aged only 19, he has a 75 rating in FIFA 15 which is almost certain to improve. No real competition for the left-back spot from Reece James (56), Luke Shaw is our choice for the left-back position.
#6 Daley Blind (CDM)
Daley Blind has shone in the defensive midfield position ever since he signed for Man U. Hebeats Fellaini based on better command of the game, with both rated79in FIFA 15 and is one to look out for in the future. He currently is the most accurate passer in the premier-league and is really strong in hold-up as well as build-up play.
#7 Ander Herrera (RCM)
Herrera is a work-horse. Hes known for his agility and playmaking capabilities. He edges out Michael Carrick on pace and playmaking, with both tied on an overall rating of 79 in FIFA 15. His versatility makes him the perfect choice for the central midfielders position in our Manchester Uniteds FIFA 15 team.
#8 Angel Di Maria (LM)
Angel Di Maria (87) is the clear cut choice for the left midfielders position for Manchester United. The argentinian has fired up the United attack with his pace and passing abilities. He has been Uniteds best player so far this season and is surely living up to the billing after he was handed the iconic no. 7 for Man U.
#9 Juan Mata (CAM)
Juan Mata,rated at 85 in FIFA 15 fits in almost perfectly in the attacking midfielders position for Manchester United. There is no real competition for him after Shinji Kagawas departure except Wayne Rooney who is more likely to be used as a forward. Mata isnt as fast as someone like Di Maria, but he brings that poise in the game with his exceptional vision.
#10 Robin Van Persie (ST)
Robin Van Persie is Uniteds most experienced and to some extent, their most consistent forward. Signed from Arsenal two seasons ago, RVP is a sureshot choice for the striker position with a FIFA 15 rating of 88. Hes reliable in the air and a prolific finisher. More importantly, hes the man players like Di Maria & Mata look up to for that final pass.
#11 Radamel Falcao (ST)
Radamel Falcao was more of a gamble, when he was signed from Monaco. However, based on FIFA 15ratings, he (88) clearly beats Wayne Rooney (85) for thefinal position for our squad. The Colombian is a feared attacker and a profound header of the ball. If he can recapture his top form, Manchester United might just be the most feared attacking force not only in England, but also in Europe.
