He might not make it into the top players Arsenal has ever produced, but he has scored a handful of goals to place him in the top five.

He played for the Gunners from 1923 to 1931. Brain was a prolific striker throughout his career, and was the club's top scorer for four seasons in a row, from 1924–25 to 1928–29; this included 39 goals in the 1925–26 season which included four hat tricks.

#4 John Radford - 149 goals

Radford joined the club as an apprentice in 1962 and did not leave until December 1976 after making 481 appearances for the Gunners. He mainly played as the centre forward but he had an inherent ability to distract defenders and create space for others.

Arsenal enjoyed the best years of John Radford before he moved to West Ham United in 1976.

#3 Cliff Bastin - 178 goals

He played for Arsenal from 1929 to 1947 and has made a mark in their history as he is remembered fondly even today.

His favourite position was outside left, but he has played in other creative positions also for the team. Bastin's name would register with fans who started watching Arsenal as recently as 1997 because it was in September of that year when Ian Wright eclipsed the great man's goalscoring record for the Club.

#2 Ian Wright - 185 goals (104 in Premier League)

He played for Arsenal from 1991-1998.

With Arsenal he won the Premier League title, both major domestic trophies, and the European Cup Winners Cup.

The Arsenal legend always found a way to find the net, whether it required a sumptuous 30-yard chip or a toe-poke from two yards making him one of the finest strikers to grace the English game.

#1 Thierry Henry - 228 goals (175 in Premier League)

Arguably the best player to have donned the Arsenal jersey, the Frenchman had exquisite technique, searing pace and surprising strength. And like the typical schoolboy superstar, he did pretty much everything for his team.

Henry starred for the Gunners as their captain, the talisman, the dead-ball expert, the penalty-taker and the assist-maker.
