Muller to sign contract extension?Football clubs around the world are keeping a close tab on their respective transfer targets as we are less than a month away from the opening of January transfer window. The clubs are steadily getting aware of the players who could add more quality to the existing squad. Some ridiculously unbelievable, others crafted with some sense and perhaps truth behind them, as always, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.Here are the transfer news and rumours for December 3.

#1 Serie A

Back to Milan?

- Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has completely denied reports that linked the Ex-Milan manager to Manchester United, Sky Sports reports.

“I'm focused on objectives, which is more important than rumours, I have a contract here until 2017 and I am very happy to coach Juventus.

“I remain fully focused on achieving the very important targets that we have here,” he said.

- AC Milan are set to resign Kevin-Prince Boateng from Schalke, Gazzetta Dello Sport reports. The Ghana international has been training with the Milan team since October and will reportedly terminate his contract with Schalke in the near future and re-join the Rossoneri.

- Roma are looking to lure Ibrahim Affellay from Stoke City, Corriere Dello Sport reports. The 29-year-old player recently joined Stoke City from Barcelona in the summer transfer window. The Dutch international has thus far failed to impress in his short spell at the Britannia Stadium.

#2 La Liga

Neville unvieled at the Mestalla

- Gary Neville was introduced to the press as the new Valencia manager at the Mestalla. The ex-Man Utd player and said that he was excited to take the job.

"I'm incredibly excited to be here, I understand the huge responsibilities I've been given. I know the passion and intimidation from the fans from playing here in the past and I want to harness that in the coming months," he said.

- Barcelona are considering to give Sergi Samper a loan spell away from the club as he has fallen out of favor at the club, Mundo Deportivo reports. Samper has been a long-term target for Arsenal, an interest which never bore fruits. He decided to stay at the Catalan club, but the rise of Sergi Roberto has restricted his first team chances. Real Sociedad, Sporting, Anderlecht, Porto and Basel are reportedly interested in the services of the 20-year-old.

- Denis Cheryshev is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid as talks between him and Liverpool are set to begin, Fichajes.com reports. The out-of-favor winger is currently in the news as he started and even scored for the Los Blancos in a Copa del Ray match even after being suspended for the tie. The 24-year old still has more than a year to go on his contract.

#3 English Premier League

Real Madrid or Barcelona?

- Manchester United have shown strong interest in Fulham striker Moussa Dembele and will move for the striker in the January transfer window, Sky Sports reports. The 19-year old has scored eight goals for the Championship outfit this season and is believed to be a mature player. The Red Devils recently let James Wilson go out on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion for the rest of the season.

- Arsenal’s hopes to bring Lars Bender to the Emirates have been boosted as Bayer Leverkusen have admitted that they will let their star players leave the club if a suitable bid comes along, London Evening Standard reports. The Gunners midfield is in dire need of reinforcement as they have lost all their first choice midfielders through injury now, with Mathieu Flamini the only recognised defensive midfielder left in the team and a January signing is needed.

- Liverpool might be bombarded with bids for their star man Philippe Coutinho from both the Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the next summer transfer window, The Mirror reports. The Brazilian has been in scintillating form this season and if he continues to perform at the same level, a bid or two from either of the Spanish giants must be considered normal.

- Chelsea defender Gary Cahill penned a new four-year deal with the club which will see him stay at the club till 2019.

Cahill told the club’s official website, “I'm really pleased to commit my future to Chelsea and it's great the club has put their faith in me. I have achieved a lot here and I hope I can keep on learning, helping the team and lifting trophies over the next four years.”

#4 Rest of Europe

Will Ancelotti replace Guardiola?

- Thomas Muller is set to renew his contract with Bayern Munich, Kicker reports. The new deal has been verbally agreed and it is believed that the contract will tie him up with the Bavarian giants until 2021. This news comes as a bad news for Manchester United, who have reportedly been interested in the German forward for quite some time now.

"There is a lot of indication for it and not a lot against it," Muller said at a PR event on Wednesday.

- Bayern Munich are in talks with Carlo Ancelotti to fill the vacant manager position if Pep Guardiola decides not to renew his contract with them, Tuttosport reports. The Spaniard has been continuously linked with Manchester United and Manchester City as he has not put pen to paper on a new contract which is due to get over next summer.

- Zlatan Ibrahimovic might as well decide to prolong his stay at Paris Saint-Germain after being linked with various European clubs, Le Parisien reports.

“There is much talk that this would be my last season at PSG or national team, we responded Sweden last week at his home in Malmö. There are many rumors. But the only person who decides my future, that's me. I take advantage of this moment, I decide what I want and I do not know yet what I want for the future. As long as I play at this level, I will continue,” Ibra said when quizzed about his future plans.
