Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves: Odds, Lines, Picks, and Predictions - October 14, 2022 | MLB 2022 Playoffs

Atlanta Braves v San Francisco Giants
Spencer Strider's last start was on September 18th.

The Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies head to Citizens Bank Park for Game 3 of this NLDS.

The Braves were able to even the series in Game 2, and now the Phillies will try to take another lead with the series at home.

Pitching in this one is Spencer Strider for the Braves and Aaron Nola for the Phillies.

Strider missed the last month with a hamstring issue. While he is in the third slot in the Braves' pitching rotation and at times this season, he has been the best pitcher in Atlanta. Strider was in line for Rookie of the Year before going down, but with that time missed, it will likely go to his teammate, Michael Haris II.

Aaron Nola was tremendous in his Wild Card start, going six and a third, allowing no runs on four hits. Unfortunately, for Nola, Atlanta's lineup is far better than St. Louis, but Nola will be feeling himself after a start like that. Bettors should expect him to find his groove early.

Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Best Pick

Atlanta has been better at striking out in the playoffs, but they are still experiencing plenty of Ks. Nola is on a heater, and there is no reason for him to slow down now. There will be few runs and few hits in this game. Nola should have no problem hitting his prop today.

Aaron Nola Over 6.5 Ks (-150)

Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction

This is a tough spot for bettors. Nola is hot, and Strider is a rising star in the game. But you never know how a rookie is going to perform in the playoffs. Strider is a different beast, though, so there is no reason to think the moment will be too big for him. Therefore, bettors can expect minimal runs and a Braves win.

Atlanta (-110) & Under 6.5 (+100)
