The Los Angeles Chargers will be playing the Denver Broncos at home on Monday Night Football. These AFC West teams have had their ups and downs this year, but there's still a lot of the season left to be played. The Chargers are up to 3-2 after beating the Cleveland Browns 30-28 on the road last week. Meanwhile, the Broncos are under .500 now after two consecutive defeats to the Raiders and Colts. The Broncos have won four of the past six meetings, but the last time the Chargers were home, they came out on top 34-13.

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Key Stats

The Broncos have been carried by their defense all year long despite acquiring quarterback Russell Wilson in the offseason. Their defense is ranked fourth in sacks per game with 3.4 after recording six in last week's loss. It won't be easy to match that total tonight, though, as the Chargers' O-Line has done a great job protecting Justin Herbert this season.

Russell Wilson has just a 59.4% completion rate at the moment, much lower than his career mark of 64.8%. Also, his three interceptions to just four passing TDs should be concerning too, as Russ usually has an excellent TD-to-INT ratio. Losing running back Javonte Williams hasn't made anything easier for Denver's offense either, and now their other back, Melvin Gordon III, is questionable to suit up tonight. The Chargers have a pretty average defensive unit, and in the last two weeks t,hey've had some timely interceptions down the stretch. If they can shut down Russell Wilson and co., they'll be in great shape to notch their third straight victory.

Justin Herbert has dealt with a rib injury this year, but he's still tallied 1,478 yards withten0 passing TDs and only two picks thus far. He's excelled recently against two weak defenses, but the Broncos should provide a much tougher test. Denver's pass rush has been great, and as a result, they've allowed the third-fewest total and passing yards in the league.

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Betting Prediction

The Broncos have struggled on the road, but talent-wise these are two pretty evenly matched teams. Also, the Chargers haven't beaten any quality opponents so far, so it's hard to envision them covering tonight. Back the Broncos here and back the under, as eight of the previous nine meetings where the Chargers have been home have gone this way.

Prediction: Broncos +4.5 (-114) & Under 45.5 (-108)
