Dallas Mavericks v Detroit Pistons
Dallas Mavericks v Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons (7-20) are coming into tonight's game off the back of a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Their opponents, the Memphis Grizzlies (16-9), have fared much better this season and are currently riding high on a four-game winning streak.

The Pistons have struggled to gain any momentum this season and have endured several losing skids, including a seven-game one last month. The Detroit outfit have struggled with a litany of injuries and have one of the lowest shooting percentages in the league right now, making tonight's game another uphill battle.

Pistons vs. Grizzlies Prediction

The absence of star player Cade Cunningham continues to weigh heavily on the Pistons. Worse still, they've fared very poorly on the road this season, winning just three of their 12 road games. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, have dominated at home, picking up a 10-2 record in Memphis this season.

Defensively, it's hard to picture the current Pistons line-up really being able to neutralize the likes of Ja Morant on the court. Offensively, with Cunningham still in recovery, the Pistons aren't looking great, making this a fairly dire prospect game. The Grizzlies will most likely send their fans home happy tonight.

Prediction: Grizzlies -11 (-105)
