Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Chargers Key Stats

The Dolphins have one of the best offenses in the NFL, and they're led by third-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovaiola has taken a huge leap this year, and even though he threw two picks last week, his 25 to six TD-to-interception ratio still looks great. He's also averaging 9.0 passing yards per attempt, which leads the NFL. It definitely helps Tua that he gets to throw to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, two of the better receivers in the league. Hill leads the NFL in receptions (96) and receiving yards (1,379), while Waddle has totaled 972, which ranks fifth. The Chargers have been pretty average against the pass, but they've struggled at times stopping the run. Miami's run game is pretty decent, too, with Jeff Wilson Jr., who was acquired at the trade deadline, and Raheem Mostert putting up solid numbers week in and week out.

The Chargers offense, with Justin Herbert under center, has not fared well statistically, but they have a lot of talent. Herbert is coming off a 335-yard performance while running back Austin Ekeler enters tonight with 1,053 yards from scrimmage. With Keenan Allen back in the lineup, along with Mike Williams and Joshua Palmer, look for Herbert to have no issues spreading the ball around. The Dolphins have a good run defense, but this game has the potential to be a shootout. Both offenses had subpar games last week, so we'll see if they can figure it out tonight.

Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Chargers Betting Prediction

The Chargers have lacked consistency this year, and several key injuries haven't been ideal either. Miami hasn't done well against the spread on the road this year, but LA is 2-3 ATS at home entering tonight. The Dolphins committed four turnovers in their loss to San Francisco last week, but tonight expect them to be less sloppy against a weaker defense. Expect Tua and the visitors to come into LA, win, and cover tonight due to their offensive weapons.

Prediction: Dolphins -3 (-125)
