Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction: Injury Report, Starting 5s, Betting Odds & Spreads - December 5 | 2022-23 NBA Season

Miami Heat v Atlanta Hawks
The Miami Heat vs. The Atlanta Hawks

The Oklahoma City Thunder (10-13) are coming into tonight off the back of an upset victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They're currently on a two-game winning streak, something they have in common with their opponents tonight, the Atlanta Hawks (13-10). The Hawks most recently defeated the Denver Nuggets. They have bounced back well from a three-game losing skid towards the end of last month.

This will be the second installment in a five-game, away-from-home run for the Thunder. The team has performed well on offense but their defense has noticeably lagged, costing them several games in the process. The Hawks, meanwhile, aren't quite as explosive on offense this season, but they have provided more consistent performances across the court than their opponents tonight.

Thunder vs. Hawks Prediction

The Hawks will likely come into tonight's game as the better-rested team. Not only have they not played since Friday night, but they haven't had to deal with the stress of being on the road that the Thunder currently have going on. However, they're coming into tonight with numerous player absences due to both injuries and illness, something the Thunder's players have mostly sidestepped bar Colm Holmgren's disastrous foot injury over the summer.

While the offense displayed by the Thunder has been respectable of late, it doesn't change the fact that they concede far too many points on average to be a completely effective unit. With this in mind, while the Thunder will no doubt keep it competitive, the Hawks should get the job done tonight.

Prediction: Hawks -6 (-110)
