Derrick Lewis vs. Ciryl Gane

Derrick Lewis fought Ciryl Gane at UFC 265 for the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship. Lewis's lack of technical striking was visible in the fight as Gane used his advanced Muay Thai skills to attack Lewis from range and avoid any close-range exchanges inside the pocket.

Lewis was defensive throughout the fight and tried to get in range but failed every time. His body gave up from the 100-plus strikes punishment and, Lewis fell in the third round after a few clean long-range punches landed on his head.
