Victor Newman, the stalwart of The Young and the Restless, has a single-minded goal of bringing down the Abbotts. He played long shots to hurt Jack Abbott by using Kyle against his parents. He also manipulated Jill Abbott into selling Chancellor's to him leaving Billy Abbott out of his job. Moving forward, he will try to break up his granddaughter Claire's relationship with Kyle.

The Young and the Restless, the long-running American soap opera, has often seen the ruthless Newman patriarch taking control of other people's lives. The CBS daily soap, which premiered in March 1973, focuses on the feud between the Newman family and the Abbott family, besides their interaction with other resident families of the fictional Genoa City.

Victor Newman, the founder of Newman Enterprises, wants to expand his business at all costs. His company has a long-standing rivalry with Jabot Cosmetics and other Abbott businesses. However, his primary aim is to punish the Abbott family.

The Young and the Restless: What is Victor's intention for the coming weeks?

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Victor will be asking Claire Newman-Howard to stay away from Kyle. He had Kyle fired by his own mother, Diane Abbott, after using him. Fans will remember, that Victor employed Kyle Abbott to work for Glissade.

He manipulated the younger Abbott to revolt against his parents and even fired Audra to give Kyle an upper hand. However, the audience knew all along that he was making use of Kyle to get at Jack Abbott, as did Jack and Diane Abbott themselves.

As the senior Abbott couple worked up a fake fight to convince Kyle and Victor that there was a rift between Jack and Diane, Diane simultaneously convinced Victor to appoint her as the CEO of Glissade. However, the scheming Newman, played by Eric Braeden, forced Diane to fire Kyle before writing over the company to her.

He also ensured that Glissade is a shell of a company with all its vital parts already sold off. With that, Diane has a company with no future and she is duped. Moreover, he took over Chancellor's from Billy's hands by buying it from Jill Abbott and making Nikki the CEO of the company.

His next move would be to stop his granddaughter, Claire, from continuing her association with Kyle. He will likely warn Claire about Kyle and urge her to nip the relationship. This would ensure all the Abbott family members have been duly destroyed.

The Young and the Restless: Will Victor succeed in breaking up Claire and Kyle?

Claire Grace-Newman-Howard, played by Hayley Erin, is a fairly new member of the Newman household. Till now, she has been playing an obedient third generation and staying non-controversial, whether it was Kyle's problems with his family or her grandfather's feud with the Abbotts.

However, how she may react to her grandfather's stand in her romantic life is unclear as of now. As viewers already know, Claire is capable of evil moves herself, as she did with Nikki and Victoria in the past, under Aunt Jordan's guidance.

While Victor may tell her that Kyle is likely to go back to Harrison and Summer, and that he wants to protect her from heartbreak, Claire may disagree with her grandfather. While she may not revolt like her mother did years ago in a similar condition, she may voice her displeasure.

Viewers can catch the upcoming episodes of The Young and the Restless on CBS as Victor pushes his schemes ahead, while Claire expresses her views.
