The Bold and the Beautiful: Last week's recap
The last week on The Bold and the Beautiful was marked by Hope and Carter, who took a bold step in their attempt to take control of Forrester Creations. After they signed the documents, it was already clear that their plan was unfolding, but the future steps are not known yet. Carter was torn between being loyal to Hope and a growing conflict with Steffy and Ridge, who hated Hope's leadership.
Meanwhile, the Forrester family could not let go of their tension as Ridge regretted the current situation, particularly after learning that Hope was the focus of the press release.
When Carter tried to persuade Ridge and Steffy to reinstate Hope, she was opposed. It could be seen that their disagreement would have consequences and ramifications for a long time to come.
As the week on The Bold and the Beautiful wore on, Brooke grew increasingly concerned about the fallout from the situation. When she spoke with Finn, she hoped he could help turn Steffy around, but the latter refused to budge. Carter kept trying to make his case for Hope, cautioning that if they didn't put her line back in, Forrester's future was at risk.
By midweek, Ridge even started to question the role of Carter in the company, for instance when he discovered that Carter had signed critical LLC documents while putting his name down as manager.
This made them suspect him of intentionally working against him. As the rivalry grew, so did the Forrester family's tension as personal loyalties clashed with business interests.
Things went down by Friday when Carter and Hope finally realized they had pulled a corporate coup d'etat by the fact that Carter was all-powerful in Forrester Creations.
The latter overhears their talk, Brooke stunned by what her brother, Carter, said about Ridge to Hope. Eventually, Brooke confronted Ridge of Hope's and Carter's corporate power play, which he could hardly believe.
And then came the episode's conclusion wherein Ridge had finally come to the realization that Carter had backstabbed him, but more importantly that his buddy had orchestrated the takeover on his very own doorstep.
So it was apparent that divisions cut the company apart and things couldn't have been higher; it just meant the stakes at Forrester Creations had never been any higher.
