Taylen Kinney, a five-star point guard in the Class of 2026, has been dominant for Wildcat Select in the Adidas 3SSB circuit. Scouts have been showing up to see him play, and he has been compared to some NBA sons.
Courtside Films posted his highlights on Thursday from Adidas 3SSB and asked fans which NBA star Kinney reminds them of.
With how Kinney has been playing, fans were divided on which player would be his best comparison. Some said he reminds them of Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray, while others dropped former NBA stars' names.
"Tyrese Maxey type beat," one fan wrote.
"I see a lil Jamaal Murray," another fan wrote.
"Dominique Wilkins," a fan said.
Meanwhile, others highlighted that Kinney has his own style.
"How about exactly none. Kid isn’t in the nba. The question is flawed. Hypothetical projection on hyperbolical rhetoric will never alter the mathematic. Does that sentence make me the next Eminem? No," one fan commented.
"Nobody hes gonna be the next person for others to compare," another fan commented.
"None of them has what he has!! If I was going to pick one, I would say Hali," a fan wrote.

Kinney also played for RWE in Overtime Elite in his junior year. He averaged 20.1 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game on 55.6% shooting.
