Nate Ament made history when he signed his NIL deal with Reebok, becoming the company's first high school NIL signee. The No. 4-ranked prospect from the Class of 2025 has appeared in the latest episode of Netflix's "Power Moves with Shaquille O'Neal," and it takes a look at Reebok's big bet on Ament. A teaser was released on Friday.
The video featured a clip of Ament talking about Ament and his relationship with his mom, admitting he has a guilty pleasure in doing something with her.
"Me and my mom actually like to watch rom-coms at night sometimes, but I love watching rom-coms with my mom." Nate Ament said.
The episode featuring Ament took a look at how the deal played out, with NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, the present of Reebok basketball, spearheading the plan to sign Ament. Reebok Basketball VP Allen Iverson was the one who pitched to Ament and his family, however.
“Reebok has the unique quality and letting people be themselves. I think it’s going to be important for the younger generation.” pitched the 76ers legend. “I will never have a player come in and we try to change who he is,” said Iverson. “We got to adapt to you and your style, your uniqueness, and what you bring to the table.”
In the show, Nate Ament also spoke about his decision, admitting that he thought about signing with Nike instead.
“Like growing up, all the Nike-signed players that wearing the Nike stuff. Obviously, they are bigger names. I haven’t made any decision yet.” he said in the show.
However, Ament ultimately signed a multi-year deal with Reebok in October 2024, becoming one of the few high school players with an NIL deal with the company.

In the show, Ament also spoke about his decision to sign an NIL deal with Reebok, admitting that he did so because of the two NBA legends, Shaquille O'Neal and his VP, Allen Iverson.
“Shaq’s like one of the most dominant players ever,” he said. “And then, obviously, AI is just one of the most influential. So, you know, having those leaders of a brand want me is something special.”
Nate Ament has had quite the senior season, with the five-star small forward being named a McDonald's All-American and playing in the Jordan Brand Classic. He also led the Highland Hawks to a state title.
