Initially, Brown was supposed to visit Florida Seminoles, but he replaced the visit with Sarkisian's program. One of the reasons for Brown's proximity and good relationship with Texas goes to defensive ends coach LaAllan Clark, whom Brown has known since he was a kid.

“Me and Coach Clark’s bond outside of football is amazing. I used to go to his football camps and his dad coached me at my middle school for basketball.”

This "great relationship factor with coaches is one of the most important elements that fuels his college decision.

"I will 100% say that I have the best relationship with coach Clark than any other school I’m interested in right now." Lamar Brown told Chad Simmons. " And this is not even a knock off to the other DL coaches because I have a great relationship with them also."

Lamar Brown is a product of University Lab (Louisiana), who plays both offense and defense for his high school. But he prefers to play the offensive line, as he likes to, "destroy people and get to the next level and destroy somebody else."

Aside from clinching all-state honors in 2023, he won the MaxPreps and freshman All-American honors. Moreover, he is also a celebrated shot put player, who secured second place with a 50-feet-4-inch throw at the Louisiana 3A shot put finals in 2023.

Longhorns' Class of 2026 commits consist of Dia Bell, Raheim Riley and Jermaine Bishop, according to 247Sports. Presently, 146 out of the 2026 ESPN 300 are already committed.
