While she did not mention what rumors she had been referring to, she stated that she would soon be releasing a voice recording of the police and a friend who was with the police to clarify all speculations related to the model's death. Her statement through her Instagram account read:
"The community is spreading false information about Jong-seok, and it has caused significant pain to the bereaved family. The reason we haven't responded until now is that we hoped Jong-seok went to a good place, so we didn't refute the claims, and we never imagined such absurd content would circulate. It's not true."
She continued:
"Currently, the articles contain false information, and I have requested their deletion. I am preparing to organize and release the recorded statements from friends who were present with the police recordings regarding what the other party said to me last."
Kim Jong-seok's sister concluded her statement by expressing that any further malicious posts around the model and his death would be reported to the Cyber Investigation Division to proceed with legal action.
"Please refrain from further defamation for the sake of the deceased, and I kindly request that you delete any posts you have made... Please let the deceased rest in peace. Posts that were maliciously posted will be reported to the Cyber Investigation Division," she said.
