NCT member Doyoung recently issued an apology for his remarks regarding AI song covers using senior Korean singers’ voices. Doyoung stated that he was chatting with NCTzens (NCT's fandom) on Melon and spoke about how an AI cover of his solo song Beginning in Singer Sunwoojunga's Voice moved his heart.

On Friday, April 26, Doyoung issued an apology on the fan communication app Bubble. The Little Light singer, while talking to fans said it would be great to hear his favorite artists sing his songs. He addressed this issue by stating that he did not think enough before making such a comment as it would cause harm to musicians and other artists.

The NCT member said:

"I think that I did not think it through deeply, and so I made a mistake. Even though I am a musician who prepared this album earnestly, I thought lightly of content such as AI voice covers, which may have great impacts on the value of singers and their voices. There are no excuses, it was a mistake on my part." [H/T: Allkpop]

The NCT member sincerely apologized to all the singers he spoke about in the conversation regarding AI song covers, stating,
