Lingard introduced them to the BTS member’s viral Super Tuna dance by showing a clip from Jin’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the idol taught Fallon the choreography. Lingard also shared his intention to perform the Super Tuna dance celebration if he scored during a match. True to his word, the footballer was seen busting out the iconic dance moves at a recent event, much to the delight of fans and teammates alike.

Fans were absolutely thrilled by Jessie Lingard’s K-pop-inspired moment, flooding social media with excited reactions. Many praised the footballer for the unexpected twist to the game by incorporating BTS’s Jin's "Super Tuna" dance into his celebration. One fan wrote,

Jin promotes solo album on The Tonight Show, reflects on success of Super Tuna and releases extended version

On November 20, BTS's Jin appeared on The Tonight Show to promote his solo debut album Happy, released on November 15. During the segment, he taught host Jimmy Fallon the dance to his viral hit Super Tuna.

Explaining that "Chamchi" means tuna in Korean, thr artist demonstrated the steps before the two performed the dance together, drawing cheers from the audience. The fun and energetic moment quickly became a fan favorite, highlighting Jin's charm and dance skills.

In 2021, the BTS member delighted fans by releasing Super Tuna on his birthday, December 4. Inspired by his love of fishing, Jin crafted the playful track as a gift to his fans. To his surprise, the song quickly gained massive popularity, trending at number one on YouTube right after its release.

It also topped the World Digital Song Sales chart on November 5, 2022, further solidifying its success. The "Super Tuna" challenge went viral on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, drawing attention from fans worldwide.

In a recent move, the idol removed the original version of Super Tuna from streaming platforms and replaced it with an extended version. The updated track, which has already garnered millions of streams, was officially released on October 11, 2024.

Before its release, he treated fans to a performance of the extended version during his highly anticipated return at the 2024 BTS Festa in Seoul, marking his comeback after completing mandatory military service.


The eldest BTS member officially launched his solo career on November 15 at 2 pm KST with the release of his debut album, Happy. The album quickly made waves, debuting at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
