On May 26, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, starring Wi Ha-joon and Jung Ryeo-won, released episode 6 on tvN at 9:20 p.m. KST. The drama depicts the story of legendary academy instructor Seo Hye-jin, played by Jung Ryeo-won, and her former pupil Lee Jun-ho, illustrated by Wi Ha-joon.
Seo Hye-jin is widely popular for her teaching style and has an impressive record of 14 years as a teacher. Her first ever student, Lee Jun-ho, had made a comeback in her life as her colleague at Daechi Chase Academy, where she works. Lee Jun-ho is known as a troublemaker and a quirky person. The Midnight Romance in Hagwon offers a brewing romance between the two as they start working together.

Previously in The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Seo Hye-jin and Lee Jun-ho's special lecture failed as only one student turned up despite a huge advertisement campaign run by the academy. This special lecture was held to attract students from Heewon High School.
As the joint class fell through, the director of the academy, Kim Hyun-tak (Kim Jong-tae), subtly tried to demote Seo Hye-jin. In episode 4 of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Lee Si-woo, the student from Heewon High School who attended Lee Jun-ho and Seo Hye-jin’s class, decided to join Daechi Chase Academy as he was impressed with the teaching strategy.
This made Choi Hyeong-seon (Seo Jung-yeon), the director of Daechi Chaesun Academy, anxious, as Lee Si-woo might take his friends along with him to the rival academy. With this, Choi Hyeong-seon offered the position of vice director to Seo Hye-jin with a contract that offered her better terms.
On the other hand, Seo Hye-jin congratulated Lee Jun-ho on getting his first student after Lee Si-woo came back for an admissions consultation at Daechi Chase Academy. After speaking to Kim Hyun-tak the same day, Lee Jun-ho found out that Seo Hye-jin had been looking out for him behind his back with the advertisement campaign ideas.
Lee Jun-ho expressed his thoughts about Seo Hye-jin pushing her career aside and helping him; he stated that he was not happy with her doing so. Before knowing this, Lee Jun-ho had asked her to stay at the academy for one year, and he would do everything in his power to bring more students from Heewon High School. However, he later pursued her to accept Choi Hyeong-seon’s offer and not give up on such an opportunity.
After seeing Lee Si-woo at the academy, director Kim Hyun-tak attempted to apologize to Seo Hye-jin by offering her a position at a different branch. Seo Hye-jin had been working with Kim Hyun-tak for a long time, and she was taken aback by what had happened to her earlier.
Seo Hye-jin got into an argument with Kim Hyun-tak, questioning his loyalty to her, and did not accept the apology. The same night, Kim Hyun-tak got drunk and called Seo Hye-jin so that he could properly ask for forgiveness, as he did not wish for her to leave.
Lee Jun-ho decided to tag along with Seo Hye-jin as Kim Hyun-tak was drunk during the late hours of the night. Kim Hyun-tak sat by a riverside and mustered his courage. He kneeled down, asking for forgiveness. Lee Jun-ho tried to make him stand; however, the two fell down in the river.
The Midnight Romance in Hagwon showcased a romantic moment shared by the main characters as they went back to the academy after taking care of Kim Hyun-tak. At the academy, Seo Hye-jin set up a heater for Lee Jun-ho and brought him a towel. Looking at Kim Hyun-tak giving his best to stop Seo Hye-jin from leaving, Lee Jun-ho also gathered courage and confessed his feelings for Seo Hye-jin.
He revealed that he had his eyes only on her and that she was his first love. He then pulled her in for a kiss, ending the episode with a cliffhanger. It is yet to be seen if Seo Hye-jin will accept Lee Jun-ho's feelings and if she will accept Choi Hyeong-seon's offer.
