Jared Leto has been accused of sexual impropriety by nine women. They have said that the actor displayed alleged “predatory, terrifying and unacceptable” behavior towards them.
A report in Air Mail, published on June 7, details the alleged incidents these women encountered with Leto. Most of the women have spoken up about the alleged inappropriate behavior and sexual advances.
One of them is model Laura La Rue, who said that Leto allegedly made advances towards her in 2008 when she was 16, leading to multiple inappropriate incidents.
However, the actor's representatives have denied it, stating:
“Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate … and Ms La Rue later applied to work as Mr Leto’s personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.”

In her interview with Air Mail, Laura La Rue recalled visiting Jared Leto's residence in Beverly Hills for an event in 2008.
The model, who was 16 at the time, said that the actor, who was 36, kept watching her. She said:
“He asked how old I was. I said, ‘I’m 16. How old are you?’”
They eventually exchanged numbers and spoke via email before La Rue visited his home in April 2009. She added:
“I remember him teasing me the whole time I was there. He was flirting with me. He’d lean in close, then pull away, like it was a game.”
In another visit, La Rue alleged:
“He just walked out, d*ck out, like it was normal … I thought maybe this was just what adult men do."
While Leto's representatives have denied these accusations, La Rue isn't the only woman to have shared such incidents. Another woman shared another alleged incident from 2006, when she was 16, with Air Mail.
The woman said that she saw Leto sitting with actor Ashley Olsen in a cafe in Los Angeles in 2006. Leto allegedly approached her and grabbed her arm. She said:
“I looked down and it was Jared Leto... We had a quick conversation, and he got my number.”
The woman added that he called her at his home a few days later, saying:
“I don’t know if he was on drugs or what … It was the weirdest, grossest voice … [But] for me, it’s Jared, you know?”
She alleged that Leto kept calling her late at night and kept inviting her to parties. She even accused him of sexual conversation, saying:
“And the conversations turned sexual. He’d ask things like: ‘Have you ever had a boyfriend? Have you ever sucked a d*ck?’”
All these statements have surfaced after Los Angeles–based D.J. and music producer Allie Teilz's Instagram story last month.
She reposted a screenshot of one of her Facebook statuses from 2012, which read:
“Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat.”
She further wrote in another Instagram story:
“I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17. He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.”
She further labeled Leto "Hollywood’s most persistent predator in a kilt". The post went viral on social media, and Leto's representatives had denied all allegations.
