All about the upcoming musical adaptation
Kiss Of The Spider Woman is an adaptation of the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig and the Tony Award-winning musical of the same name by playwright Terrence McNally, and composers/lyricists Fred Ebb and John Kander. This is the second film to take inspiration from the musical, the first being a Brazilian adaptation from 1985.
On January 26, 2025, the new film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It is produced by Tom Kirdahy, Barry Josephson, and Greg Yolen. Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna also feature as executive producers.
The film has currently received a Tomatometer score of 82%, based on 39 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It has also earned 6.3/10 rating on IMDb.
