"To all the people crashing out over (this). Just remember it's just a fictional character and race swaps are no big deal. Why do you care so much?" a fan replied.
"This... is possibly an objectively cool story. The trope about the antagonist who, at least (temporarily), knows you can't beat them, their anger purely focuses their skill and prowess and they know it and they know they're sufficiently angry at you to kill you any time they want," another commented.

Marvel Comics introduced Ketema, a new hero who overpowers and defeats his father, T'Challa, to take the crown as Black Panther and King of Wakanda. The story takes place in a near-future Earth-616, which shows us a Wakanda with political instability, as resistance factions such as the Aquamarines revolt against the traditional government.

Ketema, introduced as a powerful masked fighter, battles with T'Challa over his supposed insensitivity to the freedom of his people. Though T'Challa's fighting capabilities are greater, he cannot bring himself to kill his son and is hence defeated.

As he takes the throne, it turns out that Ketema unmasks himself, a revelation that has generated debates regarding his origin and the fate of the Black Panther heritage.

Marvel Knights: The World To Come Vol. 1 #2 will be released on July 9, 2025.
