American actress Keke Palmer will feature in a prominent role in the upcoming heist comedy film The Pickup, as also confirmed by its official trailer. The film will be released exclusively on Prime Video on August 6, 2025. The Pickup is written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows and directed by Tim Story, and according to a Deadline report from April 2024, its principal photography took place in Atlanta.

"A routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when mismatched armored truck drivers Russell (Eddie Murphy) and Travis (Pete Davidson) are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by savvy mastermind Zoe (Keke Palmer). As chaos erupts, the unlikely duo must navigate danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps spiraling out of control."

Later, she attacks them with a bunch of other notorious criminals to capture the truck. As Zoe then reveals herself to the duo, Travis realizes he mistakenly gave her all the details during their previous encounter. Now, the two drivers need to help Keke Palmer's character, Zoe, steal $60 million from a casino, or else she will kill Russell's wife.

American actress Keke Palmer began her career as a child actor with roles in films like Barbershop 2: Back in Business and The Wool Cap. Since then, Keke has appeared in numerous television and big-screen projects such as Alice, Nope, One of Them Days, Grey's Anatomy, and 90210.

The 31-year-old is now set to feature alongside Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen in the upcoming comedy film Good Fortune.

Furthermore, Keke Palmer has also done voice roles in several projects. She is well known for voicing the character of Peaches in the Ice Age franchise. Apart from voicing Peaches, she has worked on other animated projects such as Lightyear, Under the Boardwalk, Winx Club, and Family Guy.

Palmer is also recognized as a musician, having released two studio albums so far. She is now set to drop her latest album, titled Just Keke, on June 20, 2025, which will be available on various streaming platforms.

In the heist comedy film The Pickup, Russell and Travis are armoured truck guards who are responsible for picking up cash from several outlets. Meanwhile, after a chance encounter with Zoe, Travis falls for her and unknowingly reveals details about his job. Then, on Russell's 25th wedding anniversary, their truck is hijacked by none other than Zoe, who is apparently a big-time criminal.

As their day continues to spiral out of control, Russell and Travis are forced to partner with Zoe to help steal $60 million from a casino. They must comply, or else Zoe will execute Russell's wife.

The cast list for the film includes Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, Pete Davidson, and Eva Longoria. Meanwhile, Marshawn Lynch, Joe Anoa'i, Jack Kesy, and Ismael Cruz Cordova are some of the other notable features in the movie.

According to filmratings.com, The Pickup has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for "language throughout, some s*xual references, and violence."
