Former Disney star Orlando Brown made headlines on June 8 after taking to his Instagram Stories to accuse Ray J of being involved in Whitney Houston's demise. In the Story, Brown alleged that Ray J supplied Houston with cocaine laced with fentanyl. The story read:
"He sold her bag of coke laced with fyntanal and then opened the door for them to place her in the tub."
The post appeared alongside what looked like a TikTok video, which claimed that Ray was seen leaving Houston's hotel sometime after she passed away. Shortly after, Brown uploaded a video of himself speaking directly about the allegations. In it, he said:
"Yeah man, that n*gga gave my mama the bag with the fentanyl. Then opened up the door and let them put her in the tub n*gga. Then ran away like he was supposed to be the next Orlando Brown. Ray J that's how you get down."
For the unversed, singer Whitney Houston was found unconscious in the bathtub of her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on February 11, 2012. According to People, the incident happened a day before the Grammys.
According to the coroner's report, Houston's death was ruled as accidental drowning. Cocaine use and heart disease were listed as contributing factors. The report also found traces of marijuana, Xanax, Benadryl, and Flexeril in her body, although these substances were not considered factors in her death.
At the time, Chief Coroner Craig Harvey told PEOPLE that water was found in Houston's lungs. This apparently suggested that the singer was alive when she got submerged in the bathtub.
Bobby Brown believed that he did not think Whitney Houston died from drugs
While Whitney Houston passed away more than a decade ago, she has continued to be talked about since then. In February 2018, Bobby Brown gave an interview to Rolling Stone. During the conversation, Brown opened up about his former wife Whitney's tragic demise in 2012.
Talking about Houston's demise, Brown said:
"She was really working hard on herself to try to be a sober person and, um [pauses] she was a great woman. I don't think she died from drugs."
According to Brown, the primary reason behind Houston's demise was her "being broken-hearted." He also recalled the passing of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. For the unversed, Bobbi passed away in 2015 after being submerged in a bathtub, just like her mother, Whitney.
Meanwhile, this was not the first time that Orlando Brown spoke about Whitney Houston. In September 2022, HotNewHipHop reported that Brown claimed that Soulja Boy was Houston. In an interview with Cam Capone, Brown speculated that the singer was inside Soulja Boy's body.
This topic came up after Cam asked Brown about his diss toward Soulja Boy. At the time, Brown responded:
"Soulja Boy is Whitney Houston, I ain't got a problem with that n*gga."
As for the latest claims made by Orlando Brown about Ray J, no confirmation has been obtained yet.
