The only thing I knew to do when I got out was pray. Pray for myself. Pray for him as he grew up abused. So. There y’all go."

Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth has revealed her experience with domestic abuse after viewing a video of Sean "Diddy" Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend, singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura.

Currently, Kristin Chenoweth is married to singer Josh Bryant. The couple tied the knot on Sept. 2, 2023, in Texas.

The actress' posts came shortly after CNN released 2016 surveillance footage on Friday, May 17, showing Combs, 54, assaulting Ventura. The video captures Cassie leaving a hotel room and walking toward an elevator, followed by Diddy grabbing her by the neck, throwing her to the ground, and kicking her. The rapper is then seen dragging Ventura back towards the hotel room, later throwing an object at her.

The disturbing footage aligns with allegations Ventura, 37, made in a lawsuit filed in November, which has since been settled. Cassie's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, commented to PEOPLE, stating that the "gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs."
