On June 11, BIGHIT Music released the pre-recorded Twelve O'Clock FESTA Live featuring Jin and j-hope. BTS’ 2025 FESTA celebrations are well underway, and this year’s festivities carry extra significance with the group finally preparing for a full-member reunion.
The two members led the broadcast this year, as other members had only just returned from military service. Jimin, Jungkook, RM, and V were discharged over the past two days, while SUGA’s discharge is expected on June 21.
FESTA is BTS’ annual fan celebration held in June to mark their June 13 debut anniversary. This year marks the group’s 12th anniversary. Despite the altered format due to military commitments, Jin and j-hope treated fans to a heartwarming session filled with nostalgia, song discussions, and fun segments.
One particularly memorable moment from the live had fans laughing across social media. During the ending segment, their 2017 hit DNA began playing. Jin and j-hope attempted to perform the steps but hilariously blanked out mid-dance, laughing and exchanging glances.
Fans immediately jumped online to joke about the moment, saying that military life seemed to have hit the "factory reset" button on their muscle memory.
"oh lord. it really is a factory reset," an X user wrote.
Many pointed out the irony that even dance leader j-hope struggled, as he is known for his sharp memory and discipline in choreography. Some joked that j-hope forgetting his moves should be classified as a historic BTS moment in itself.
"Not jhope forgetting the DNA choreo when 3 second before he was giving side eye to Jin for forgetting dynamite choreo," an X user added.
"y'know they're cooked when hobi also forgot the choreo," a fan remarked.
"dance leader jung come see me after this," another user added.
"a moment of silence for the songs and choreos that were forgotten by these two," a netizen joked.
The lighthearted incident was one of many that made the hour-long live feel personal and fun for ARMYs. Others joined in joking that they should "hit that practice room" when Jin also revealed he doesn't remember the choreography for their chart-topping track, Dynamite.
"They need to hit that practice room once and start practising from no more dream . Bcs wdym jin forgot dynamite," a fan commented.
"I need them in the dance studio quick cause…..," an X user remarked.
"Jin I see you jin Hoba is going to roast you in the practice room after this Cuz wdym you forgot dynamite's choreo?! Didn't y'all perform that like 100 times in 2020?!," another one said.
Jin and j-hope lead FESTA 2025 as BTS nears full-member comeback
This year’s FESTA holds even more meaning for the BTS fandom as it marks the first time since late 2022 that all members will soon be together again. The offline FESTA event will take place on June 13 and 14 at KINTEX in Goyang, alongside other major activities in the city. Photo installations, fan zones, and concerts are set to transform the area into a BTS celebration hub.
Meanwhile, j-hope is preparing for the final leg of his HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour, with a massive outdoor concert scheduled on June 13 and 14. His setlist will include a live debut of his new track Killin’ It Girl. The performances will also be livestreamed globally via Weverse.
Jin will soon embark on his first solo fan concert tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. Kicking off in Goyang on June 28 and 29, the tour will span Japan, North America, and Europe. The event will highlight tracks from his solo albums, Happy and Echo, and earlier solo works.
During FESTA Live, Jin and j-hope also reflected on earlier eras, reminisced about songs like Spring Day, I Need U, Run, and Heartbeat, and shared behind-the-scenes memories about their planned Map of the Soul tour that was canceled due to the pandemic.
With the long-awaited full reunion just weeks away from FESTA, excitement is building. Fans now await the discharge of SUGA, after which they are hoping to see the seven together after a long time.
