Drake appeared on a Kick live stream alongside XQC on Sunday, November 24. At one point, the former asked the latter to change the music playing. Netizens have since taken to social media to react to Champagne Papi's seemingly disinterest in The Weeknd’s song playing in the background.

In clips that have gone viral online, Drake can be heard telling XQC:

“You gotta switch this song up. We’re real 6ixers… we don’t listen to that.”

For those uninitiated, “6ixers” is a term coined by Drake to refer to his Canada area code, 416. Back in 2016, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Drizzy explained:

“We were debating on The Four, but I went tail-end on them and went 6. And at one point Toronto was broken up into six areas (Old Toronto, Scarborough, East York, North York, Etobicoke and York), so it’s all clicking man.”

It comes as no surprise that Drizzy seemingly expressed disdain towards The Weeknd’s song. In the midst of the former’s rap battle with fellow industry legend Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd seemed to have sided with K. Dot, with him also appearing at K. Dot’s The Pop-Out: Ken and Friends concert. Drizzy also allegedly dissed The Weeknd in multiple songs, including Family Matters and Push Ups, among others.

Many took to social media to react to the livestream clip, with one person saying:

Several others expressed similar sentiments with many finding the livestream moment hilarious. Other comments online read:

“Abel owns Aubrey,” an X user commented.
“Drake still own the weekend,” another platform user said.
“Good. We didn’t wanna hear that mid anyway,” a netizen stated.

Drake and The Weeknd’s alleged feud began over a decade after the latter refused to sign with the former’s OVO music label. Meanwhile, other reactions read:

“Man cant listen to nun good cause he beefing with everybody except Lil Wayne, Nicki & Thug,” a netizen stated.
“Lmaooo the weekend owns that pedo,” a platform user said.
“He making himself look worse post beef,” an X user said.

Drake also seemingly shaded The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, in one of his 100 Gigs content releases that made it online in August. In a clip that dates back to the 2013 OVO Fest, Drizzy was seen greeting several members of The Weeknd’s XO crew; however, he refused to acknowledge Abel himself. Meanwhile, other reactions to the live stream read:

“He’s still salty that The Weeknd didn’t sign to OVO,” an X user said.
“God he’s such a middle-school girl,” another platform user said.

The Weeknd seemingly dissed Drake on the All to Myself song

Amid the K. Dot and Drake beef, The Weeknd appeared on Metro Boomin and Future’s WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU album, where he seemingly threw shade at Drizzy by crooning in All to Myself:

"Ooh, look at how we movin’, baby (Movin’, baby) / They could never diss my brothers, baby (Future) / When they got leaks in they operation / I thank God that I never signed my life away / And we never do the big talk (No, no, no, no, no) / They shooters makin’ TikToks /Got us laughin’ in the Lambo (Yeah) / I promise that I got your back”

Drizzy fired at Abel in Push Ups and Family Matters since then.
