DJ Akademiks took to X (formerly Twitter) on June 6, and tweeted that Drake had turned on the comment section of his Instagram account again for the public. For the unversed, the Canadian rapper's Instagram comment section had been open to only a limited audience for years now.

Meanwhile, DJ Akademiks' tweet read:

"Drake has opened his Instagram comments again to the public."

Netizens have since been commenting of Drizzy's posts. One user also said that being able to comment on the posts by the rapper felt like "luxury." The user wrote:

"Commenting on a Drake post feels luxury 😭."

According to a forum called kanyetothe.com (a community dedicated to Kanye West), the step was taken by Drizzy in July 2018. A thread from that forum from July 2018 read:

"Comments Limited For Drake’s IG Posts From Now On."

Some netizens claimed at the time that Drizzy took this step when he was in a feud with Pusha T back in 2018. A user wrote on X:

"Lol has had it off since the Pusha beef 💀."

For the unversed, the situation between Pusha T and Drizzy had been rocky long before 2018. In 2018, things got reignitied after Pusha released his track Infrared from his album Daytona. In the aformementioned track, Pusha ended up questioning the Canadian rapper's lyrical abilities.

According to Billboard, in response, Drizzy reminded Pusha T that Kanye West had called the former to assist in writing Father Stretch My Hands and 30 Hours from Ye's The Life of Pablo album.

TDE artist SiR had recently blamed Drake for getting the former's concert canceled in Toronto last year

In separate news about Drake, the rapper had reportedly been blamed by TDE artist SiR for getting his 2024 Toronto show canceled. According to reports by Billboard, SiR's concert got canceled, and amid a separate performance, he was seen blaming Drizzy. A clip capturing the same has reportedly been going viral.

In the clip, SiR could be heard saying:

"I kinda got caught in the middle of a beef I ain’t have s–t to do with. I just wanna say right now that I did not cancel my show last year. Drake did."

He then went about saying that there had been some complications, and the venue apparently owned partially by Drizzy, decided to cancel the show completely. The clip soon went viral, with SiR even responding to it. According to him, he did not understand why this clip gained so much traction on the internet.

He uploaded a tweet and wondered:

"Why is this news?"

SiR posted this tweet in response to the clip which DJ Akademiks uploaded previously.
