Hours after hacking Doja Cat's X account and dissing Izzy Azalea, the perpetrators took to promoting Florida-born artist Weiland. This time, the Agora Hills singer's account shared a series of spam posts in support of the Florida musician on Monday, July 8, 2024.
On Monday, Doja Cat's account started posting several crypto currency related posts. Amidst the posts, some took a shot at Iggy Azalea, which included calling her a "stupid b*tch."
Gavin Weiland Huff, a.k.a. Weiland, is an underground rapper, song writer, music producer, and engineer. He is known for his experiments with the pluggnb genre early in his career. Gavin began his career as a social media personality before turning to music.
Weiland released his first EP, Grimey Youth, in May 2018
The singer was born on October 20, 2000, in Tampa, Florida. Early in his career, Gavin gained a small following, posting pictures and videos of him with various weapons, including a rocket launcher. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2016. Many have accredited his rise to schemes such as claims of getting auto-tune implants.
In a 2022 essay for High Snobiety, Bailey Anderes described Weiland's rise to fame as,
"(His) rise to fame in the underground music scene was characterized by viral videos, catchy vocals, and immaculate outfits. There was also negative press, namely rumors of autotune implants and rocket launcher-related misdemeanors."
In September 2017, the Tampa rapper released his mixtape, Packrunner. The mixtape was followed by his single Who's Better, a collaborative effort with Lousiana rapper Summrs, in April 2018. A month later, he debuted his first EP, Grimey Youth.
By 2020, Weiland had signed with Victor Victor Worldwide, releasing two albums, Weiland (2020) and Vices (2022). His best songs include Heart Stop and Blaming Myself. Huff has worked with industry big names like Mike Dean and Alabama-based producer FISH.
Gavin's early music featured him mixing vocal effects like AutoTune and reverb with plugg beats. His later music transitioned into the synthpop and coldwave genres. In his interview with High Snobiety, the rapper stated his musical influences include Kanye West, Imogen Heap, and Daft Punk.
Iggy Azalea called out Doja Cat hacker

"Hackers on celeb girl accounts again making it about me cause I’m their fixation but they didn’t consider the fact that I may actually interact w ppl in real life and it’s not fitting into reality lol."
In a separate X post, she added:
"Get rugged if yall want but I’m cool w that girl irl so yall f*cked up w that tweet hackers."
The Scarlet rapper later took to her Instagram stories to confirm the hack, writing:
"My Twitter's been hacked these messages are not from me."
