On June 6, 2025, K-media My Daily reported that Galaxy Corp formally addressed and dismissed the speculation linking G-Dragon to actress-singer Lee Joo-yeon. The agency issued a brief remark, clarifying,
"We would like to clarify that the dating rumors between G-DRAGON and Lee Joo-yeon, about which suspicions have been continuously resurfacing recently, are not true"
The claims resurfaced in late April after Lee uploaded a snapshot featuring a silver-toned cat on her social media platform. Fans noted the backdrop arrangement, which bears a resemblance to G-Dragon’s residence.

The feline itself also drew comparisons to the male K-pop idol's Abyssinian pet, Iye. Many online users pointed out a notable detail, a fluffy pink item around Lee Joo-yeon's cat’s neck.
They highlighted its likeness to a Chanel accessory often seen on Iye in the past. This fueled speculation that the photo might have been taken in G-Dragon’s residence. Now, netizens are sounding off on social media, stating that G-Dragon seems to be linked to a new woman every other day.
"Who will be the next female idol to be subjected to the hallucinations and delusions of gd and his company," an X user commented.
This is not the first time the two celebrities have faced such reports. Speculation initially began in 2017, when both parties explained that they shared a close friendship. Similar rumors emerged again in 2019 (twice during that year) and once more after alleged sightings of the pair on Jeju Island appeared in media outlets.
