Singer Conner Smith has been trending on different platforms after he reportedly hit a 77-year-old woman in Nashville in the evening hours of June 8, 2025. The victim, identified as Dorothy Dobbins, was on a crosswalk when the 24-year-old singer reportedly hit her, and according to Billboard, she was killed in the accident.
While speaking to Billboard, Conner Smith’s lawyer Worrick G. Robinson confirmed his client’s alleged involvement in the accident. The lawyer also expressed grief over the death of Dobbins. Robinson added that the singer's "heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins' family" as they struggle with her death.
“Mr. Smith continues to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation,” the lawyer noted.
A press release from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed the woman's identity on Monday. The release stated that Smith was in his Chevrolet Silverado truck when it allegedly hit Dorothy, as per Billboard. Since Dorothy was injured, she was immediately taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died according to People Magazine.
The press release also claimed that the accident was a result of Conner Smith failing to give way to the victim. However, no charges have been filed against the artist as of writing this article. Although no legal action has been taken so far against Conner, further updates on the issue are currently awaited.

According to People magazine, Leah and Conner Smith shared a joint Instagram post of their engagement. A carousel of photos showed the singer on his knees, asking Leah to marry him, and two pictures of them kissing. The last picture in the carousel featured Thompson flaunting her engagement ring.

The couple also shared a joint Instagram carousel of their wedding, starting with a picture where they kissed each other at the church.
People magazine stated that Thomson was seen in a white gown alongside a veil of the same color, along with pearl stud earrings. On the other hand, Conner Smith opted for a black suit and a white shirt, adding a tie to the outfit.
According to The Boot magazine, Conner addressed his love story in two singles from his debut album, Smoky Mountains. While speaking to the magazine in 2024, Smith recalled that Thompson wanted some space after they dated for almost three months.
“She had a lot going on and she was just trying to figure some stuff out, so it was kind that in-between where I was like, ‘Oh gosh, I’m either going to get really hurt here or this is going to be the best thing ever’, so I thought of that idea, you know. I’m genuinely playing roulette on the heart,” he said.
