The Anaheim Ducks are in the midst of a rebuild and the team has several high-end prospects in their minor league systems that they're expecting to make an impact this season.

Heading into the 2024-25 NHL season, here are three Ducks prospects to watch.

Anaheim Ducks top 3 prospects to watch:

#1 Cutter Gauthier

Cutter Gauthier is one of the top prospects in the NHL and he was traded from the Philadelphia Flyers to the Anaheim, as he had no plans to sign with the Flyers.

"I've never played 82 games in my life in a season, maybe in youth hockey, but nowhere near this level as the NHL," Gauthier said at development camp in July, via NHL.com. "So, just being ready mentally and, obviously, getting ready physically this summer is the biggest thing that I'm looking forward to."

He made his NHL debut last season as he recorded one assist in one game. Gauthier will have a massive role with the Ducks this season and will be in the running for Rookie of the Year.

#2 Olen Zellweger

Olen Zellweger was drafted with the 34th overall pick in the 2021 NHL draft and he looks to be a solid NHL defenseman.

Zellweger appeared in 26 games last season, but he should be a full-time NHL player next season for the Ducks, and will have a big role on the backend. He could see time on special teams and will help anchor Anaheim's defense.

#3 Stian Solberg

Stian Solberg was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the 2024 NHL draft and he should play NHL games this season.

Solberg is coming over from Norway and will be able to play in the AHL if he doesn't make the Ducks roster. It's likely he will begin the year in the AHL but there is a very real shot he's called up for action in the NHL next season.
