The Oilers will be hopeful to get back in rhythm soon enough as they would be hoping to get back in contention for the Stanley Cup this time around.

Edmonton Oilers injuries

Evander Kane and Roby Jarventie are currently sidelined for the Oilers. Kane underwent surgery in September to repair his hip adductor and ab muscles and two hernias.

In Jarventie's case, he's dealing with a knee issue.

Flames and Oilers key players

Jonathan Huberdeau has scored three goals and provided two assists in the opening two fixtures for the Flames. The forward will be hoping to make year three of his run with the Flames his most prolific as the bar has not been set that high so far.

Leon Draisaitl and Corey Perry have scored one goal each in their opening two games and they hope to get some points on board for the Oilers in game three and find their first win.
