Tonight, the Vancouver Canucks will look to snap a two-game skid when they face off against the San Jose Sharks, who are sitting in last place in the Pacific Division despite winning three straight games. Ahead of puck drop, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET), the Canucks have two players listed on their injury report.
Much like previous games over the past few weeks, Vancouver will be without Dakota Joshua and Thatcher Demko.
So far, there has been no hard date on when Joshua will be back in action after undergoing offseason testicular cancer surgery. However, coach Rick Tocchet has expressed optimism that he could be back sometime next week. On the flip side, Demko is now expected to return to action within the next 2-3 weeks.

- LW Danton Heinen - C Teddy Blueger - RW Kiefer Sherwood

Looking at the Vancouver Canucks' recent two-game skid and upcoming schedule
For the Vancouver Canucks, the wins and losses have come in bunches this season. They started the 2024-25 season with three straight losses, two of which occurred at home. They then responded in a big way, winning four straight games, three of which were played on the road, to bring their record to 4-1-2.
Since then, however, the team has been on a two-game skid ahead of tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks. On Monday, they lost 4-3 in overtime to the Carolina Hurricanes before being shut out on their home ice 6-0 by the New Jersey Devils.
Following tonight's game in San Jose, which will be the first of three games on the road, the Canucks will be back in action on Tuesday when they face off against the Anaheim Ducks. They will then travel to Los Angeles for a showdown with the Kings on Thursday before returning home to play the Oilers on Saturday.
