Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs will look to make it six in a row after picking up their second straight win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. As the team looks to solidify its place atop the Atlantic Division, they will collide with a Carolina Hurricanes team looking to get back in the win column after a 3-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning this week.
Currently, Toronto is sitting in first place in the Atlantic Division, six points ahead of the second-place Florida Panthers. Meanwhile, in the Metropolitan Division, the Hurricanes are sitting in third place, eight points ahead of the fourth-place Blues, and three points behind the second-place New Jersey Devils.
Heading into tonight's game, Toronto will be without several key players. In addition to Anthony Stolarz and Calle Jarnkrok remaining on the injured reserve list, the team will be without Jake McCabe, who is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.
Additionally, they are also expected to be without Pontus Holmberg, who has been dealing with an illness since New Year's Eve.

Looking at the odds for tonight's Maple Leafs vs. Hurricanes game, as well as upcoming Toronto games
Heading into tonight's game between Toronto and Carolina, the Hurricanes are sitting as slight betting favorites despite Toronto's five-game win streak.
On FanDuel, Carolina is a -152 favorite, while on the flip side, Toronto is a +126 underdog. Meanwhile, on DraftKings, Carolina is a -135 favorite, while Toronto is a +114 underdog.
If these odds hold up between now and puck drop, it would take a $152 bet on Carolina as the favorites to win $100 on FanDuel while a $100 bet on Toronto as the underdog would win $126.
Following tonight's game against the Hurricanes, the Maple Leafs will head home for a three-game stretch that includes games against the Canucks, Stars, and Devils before the Maple Leafs hit the road for a Jan. 18 game against the Canadiens.
