NHL fans took to social media to speculate Tanner Jeannot's potential suspension following a shoulder hit to Brock Boeser's head in the first period.
Boeser was ruled out of Thursday's game after Jeannot had delivered an open-ice hit against the Canucks winger, who appeared to be unsuspecting. The LA Kings forward was hit with a game penalty for the illegal check, which means that his actions will automatically be reviewed by the NHL Player Safety.
The review could potentially lead to a suspension for Jeannot. Here's what fans on X/Twitter said about Tanner Jeannott's hit on Brock Boeser.
One speculated:
"3 game suspension minimum"
Another chimed in:
"0 games. Because Parros."
Here are some of the other top reactions on X:
"This has to be a suspension. That's as clear of a intentional head check that you're ever gonna get. Unreal," one X user opined.
"THAT was dirty. Tanner shouldn't be allowed to play anymore. Poor Boeser," a second fan commented.
"Better be 2 games. Minimum. Had every opportunity to avoid it. And showed ZERO remorse. If he immediately skated over and apologized and showed it wasn’t intentional, one game for accidental. But no. This deserves 4. Likely be 2," said another.
"His elbow was tucked and went thru chest on player who just had puck. Had he not been injured we wouldn’t even be taking another look," another opined.
Before exiting Thursday's game, Brock Boeser spent 3:14 minutes on the ice and registered one shot in five shifts against the Kings. At the time of his exit, the score was tied at 1-1.

Last term, Brock Boeser achieved his career high with 73 points, scoring 40 goals and providing 33 assists. He's in the final year of his three-year, $19.95 million contract with the Canucks.
