Arber Xhekaj's mom Simona expressed her happiness after her younger son Florian won an impressive game with Laval Rocket in the AHL. On Saturday, after a 3-1 win over the Belleville Senators, Laval Rocket players celebrated with a team selfie in the locker room.
Players posed shirtless, marking their victory with big smiles. The team posted the photo on social media with the caption:
"Back on the road to victory. Back on track. #GoRocket Everything is played out here @Miseojeu."
Arber Xhekaj's mom Simona responded to the post. She left a proud and supportive comment:

The game was a strong showing for Laval. Jared Davidson scored two goals and Joshua Roy added a goal and two assists. Florian Xhekaj, Simona’s younger son, also played and had five penalty minutes after a fight in the first period.
The Rocket took the lead with the first goal which was scored at 10:59 in the first period. Joshua Roy scored with assists from Laurent Dauphin and Tyler Wotherspoon.
In the second period, Jared Davidson scored just 20 seconds in. Joshua Roy assisted on Davidson’s seventh goal of the season. Davidson added another goal at 3:48, making it his eighth, with Roy assisting again. Belleville scored at 7:57 when Xavier Bourgault netted his third goal, assisted by Zack Ostapchuk. No goals came in the third period.
The Rocket’s victory keeps them on track for a better season. The selfie was a fun moment shared with fans, families, and supporters.

Arber Xhekaj and the Canadians lost 6-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights on the same night at Bell Centre. The game was decided in the second period when Vegas scored five straight goals, their most in one period in franchise history.
Tomas Hertl opened the scoring early in the second period, taking advantage of a great pass and defensive screen. Callahan Burke made it 2-0 with his first NHL goal, a one-timer from Ivan Barbashev’s pass. Barbashev then scored after a quick give-and-go with Jack Eichel, capitalizing on a turnover by Montreal. Tanner Pearson added another goal with a precise shot, and Keegan Kolesar finished the dominant period with a rebound goal.
Montreal fought back in the third period. Emil Heineman scored on a power play, and Jayden Struble added another goal. However, Jack Eichel restored Vegas’ lead to four goals with a late one-timer on a 2-on-1 play.
Arber Xhekaj had two penalty minutes in 14:48 of ice time. Vegas improved to 13-6-2 this season, while Montreal dropped to 7-11-2.
