Connor Bedard scored for the Hawks early in the first period, bringing his tally to four goals for the season. However, little did Blackhawks fans know that this would be their team's only goal in the game. The celebrations of Hawks' fans early in the first period gradually shifted in what turned out to be a frustrating night for them.

Notably, the Blackhawks had only three shots on goal less than compared to the Coyotes' 33 in the contest, but they couldn't capitalize all those into goals.

The Arizona Coyotes (4-4-0) welcomed the Chicago Blackhawks (3-6-0) at Mullett Arena on Monday.

In the first period, Connor Bedard opened the scoring for the Hawks as his wrist shot goal, assisted by Kevin Korchinski and Seth Jones, gave Chicago a 1-0 lead within just 30 seconds into the game.

However, this was the only goal Chicago fans came to witness in the game as the Coyotes further left no room for putting the puck back into the net for the Blackhawks. Two goals from Michael Carcone and one from Josh Brown put the Coyotes up 3-1 before heading into the second period.

In the second period, the Chicago Blackhawks struggle continued. Meanwhile, the Coyotes continued with their first-period performance and scored four more to lead the game 7-1, with Carcone completing his hat-trick. Jack McBain, Sean Durzi and Liam O'Brien were the other scorers for the Coyotes in the second period.

Coming into the final period of the game, McBain scored his second and sealed an emphatic 8-1 home victory for the Coyotes. Carcone and McBain scored four points apiece, while Alexander Kerfoot had three in the contest. Connor Ingram made 31 saves with .969 SV% for Arizona.

Meanwhile, Arvid Soderblom conceded seven goals and posted a .682 SV% before he was replaced by Petr Mrazek between the pipes for Chicago. The Blackhawks will look to redeem themselves when they next play against the Florida Panthers (4-3-1) on Saturday, Nov. 4. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET.
