Brad Marchand's mom Lynn had a moment to remember during Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Florida Panthers shared a clip of her ecstatic reaction after her son scored the double-overtime winner against the Edmonton Oilers. The NHL also posted the video on X/Twitter:

"Brad Marchand's mom was LOVING her son's double OT winner #StanleyCup."

In the video, Lynn was seen cheering loudly, her face red with joy as she celebrated the goal. Her son's breakaway tally at 8:05 of the second overtime helped Florida win 5-4 and tie the series 1-1.

Marchand finished the night with two goals, seven shots, two hits, and a plus-3 rating. He scored a short-handed goal in the second period and sealed the game in double OT after another setup by Anton Lundell. Marchand now has three goals in the Final, scoring once each at even strength, on the power play, and short-handed.

Brad Marchand, Sam Bennett, Seth Jones and Dmitry Kulikov scored for the Florida Panthers. Their goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 42 saves for the Panthers, and he stopped many key chances, helping Florida stay in the game.

Evander Kane, Evan Bouchard, Leon Draisaitl and Corey Perry scored for the Edmonton Oilers. Perry’s goal came with 18 seconds left in the third period, sending the game to overtime. Stuart Skinner made 37 saves for the Oilers. He was strong after the third period but failed to help the Oilers in the second overtime.

Marchand's performance continues to boost Florida’s playoff run. The Panthers will now return home for Game 3, aiming to build on the momentum and defend their title.

Brad Marchand's mom Lynn impersonated her son

In January 2025, when Brad Marchand was still with the Boston Bruins, the team shared a fun video of his mom Lynn pretending to be her son. Wearing his jersey, she began with:

“Ah, good morning. It’s a great day to be me.”

She joined other Bruins moms to recreate their sons’ tunnel routines, high-fiving and joking around. On the bench, she pounded her stick like an angry player. Later, she mimicked Brad’s postgame interviews, calling the Bruins the best-looking team.

The video ended with Lynn saying, “I’m beautiful,” while looking in a mirror. The Bruins Moms Trip brought all the players' mothers together for a road trip to Florida, and nearly three months later Marchand got traded to Florida before the trade deadline.

Now with the Panthers, Brad Marchand may become a free agent on July 1.
